Another record accomplished at the Turda Salt Mine, and not a sports record, like has this year happened.

This time, the Turda Salt Mine has reached a new record during the „Școala altfel – să știi mai multe, să fii mai bun” week (a national program called „Different school week – know more, be better”).

During the period from 6 to 10 April over 11.000 tourists passed the threshold of the beautiful salt mine (for comparison: 7.324 tourists during the „Scoala altfel” week 2014), an expected increase, otherwise, by the management of the company for they organised better the tourism activity. One more aspect concerning their organisation being the promotion of the Salt Mine in 2015 through sportive events: archery competition, bike contest, karate and tennis competitions and cultural events – opera concerts, theater. The Salt Mine was also open to those who wanted to overcome human limitations, as the speed and endurance record breaking on the stairs of Rudolph Mine, or the crossing of Terezia Mine at 80 meters height.

Turda Salt Mine thanks the pupils and teachers from Bucharest and Timis, Sibiu, Alba, Maramures, Harghita, Hunedoara, Bihor, Bistrita, Targu-Mures, Satu Mare and Dambovita counties, who chose to visit the landmark.
